Hey, that looks familiar...

After a few years of being an illustrator and having my art being "out there," sometimes I have a few moments where I would be walking down the street, something catches my eye and I think, "hey, that looks familiar...."

There is a few seconds of delay before I realize, thats my art! I found this at a store window of a stationery store on Bleecker st/3rd St last weekend. Funny how I never got samples for these, so this was the first time for me seeing it!

Its called Preschool Star Write and Reuse art box, published by School Zone. I illustrated the interior materials too:
I did this a few years ago, it was nice to revisit old projects I've done. Its interesting to see where my art might turn up!

Very cool!!! :) That's why you should always carry your camera! You never know what you are going to run into!

Cool, Jannie! :) So neat to see one of your books/artwork isn't it? BTW one of my new Kindergarten students was browsing your Mixed Up Alphabet book and I told them you were a blog buddy of mine online...Chickengirl. Of course they ALWAYS hoot and holler when I say that for the first time until they get used to me calling you (and your illustrations) by that name! :) I did tell them your "real" name, too!

It's so cute! If I get one of those it could ended with "It's mine!" shouting between mother and daughter! *big laugh

Too cool!
By the way how do you store all the samples with your designs...are they on display or boxed away?
Hope you don't mind me asking!
Cheers,
Emily

Thanks, everyone.

Emily- I give alot of my samples away to friends and family, and the rest I put away in a big box in the closet :-)
