Spring

This is my piece for our spring mailer at Illustration for Kids. I had a meeting with an art director once who told me that the problem with alot of vector illustrations isn't because its digital, but because it is usually very flat in terms of perspective. This is my attempt to take on that challenge and shake things up a bit.

hmm, yes hadn't thought of that but it's probably true. well this definitely breaks the mold. Love the colour of the picnic mat echoing the colours of the bird. Well done!

I didn't realize it until you mentioned it, but most vector work is very flat....you did a good job with experimenting with a different perspective here. Kudos!

That's so true that most vector stuff is flat, never really gave it much thought! I love the angle of the POV, it really draws your attention in

This is really great! Love the depth you captured! I do love the flatness of vector art but you have combined the lure of vecor with added dimension just beautifully. Love it!

i think that the point of view is great on this. i like working with perspective, but i tend to work in traditional mediums.

Nice work- like how you did the shadowing. Great characters and colors as always!
