Hee Hee! My Kindergarten class went to the zoo Monday and almost every animal we saw was doing that!!!! Cute illo! BTW, you said your chunky dude was a "super quick one" and I'm wondering how long a super quick one is for you? How long did this cute one with the girl and poopy bird take? Just thought that might be interesting to know! THANKS :) Keep up the great work!
LOVE IT! This is actually my favorite one so far. Too funny! You've inspired me to do the challenge too, although I'm focusing on sketches and not finished pieces (you work much faster than I am do, so a sketch a day is more do-able).
Tracy: Poop jokes and poop illos are always welcomed with kids I suppose, haha! The average time for most of these are 30 minutes. The super quick one, maybe 15 minutes? I find that 15 minutes is too short most of the time. and If I go over 30 minutes, I start to want to add more details...and it becomes a more complicated illo than I want it to be.
Debbie: thanks! Yes, go for the challenge! Even if you just do sketches! Its been super beneficial for me!
oh my! haha - i'm always afraid of that happening when I'm walking around the city - hehe ---
when i was in college we had kabillions of bats living in the trees and i kinda feared getting zapped by a bat as well :)
but i love birds in spite of my fear of getting pooped on!
*love elvis! you gotta do one of him before his drug prescription, alcohol addiction, fried banana and peanut butter sam'ich eatin' got the best of him. :)
It's so cool to be part of this, I'm so glad you inspired so many people to do good things, Jannie. It is not difficult to get inspired after visiting your lovely characters... and those bright colors! I heart that!
Love it - that bird means business! These are starting to really feel like a series, like a deck of character cards. I think part of it is how you've kept a similar color palette throughout.

I would be oddly inspired by that too. Hmm...hilarious interpretation.
I love these daily people drawings! Keep up the good work! (but naturally, I do miss the chickens.)
