Flash Cards

I'm taking a little break from the challenge this weekend. But I'll leave you all with these flash cards I did for School Zone Publishing. Just got samples of them in the mail recently. Happy weekend!

Must be quite a rush to see your stuff in print. Can't imagine that it gets old no matter how many jobs you get! :)

I am going to buy some! Because... 1. I love you work. 2. I have a six year old daughter who could enjoy them as well. 3. You attract more of that which you focus you attention on and I would love to be enjoying more time and money!

thanks for commenting on my blog..I tried to e mail you back several times but it kept coming back to me, so I am posting a reply to your note instead.

I have been involved with Surtex for a long time and it has been a very rewarding experience for me over the years. I even have an Art Licensing consulting side of my business, where I meet and direct new artists to help them market their work and understand how licensing works. But, like everything else right now, the show is suffering a bit of a slow time traffic wise and needs a face lift of some sort I think to mix it up a bit...a new venue, another time of year, something like that.
Between the economy and the slow traffic, I am sure this year is going to be difficult for many of the exhibitors at all the trade shows. The thing that Ellen and I were trying to do over on D*S is be candid and tell it like it is. We wanted the new gal to understand the hurdles and know how to get over them, but even she didn't pay attention much. So, free advice is just that, but you would think based on our collective experiences in the Art Licensing world, that they would have at least sat up and taken notice. The trouble with blogland is that it should be more about helpful, honest, experiences not a lot of hand holding and loving everyone friendship party...nothing like a little constructive critique now and then to make us sit up and take notice. If everything was sweetness and apple pie, we would all be sitting under a palm tree drinking pina colodas in the Bahamas somewhere........ so I say to all of them...get a life and get real.

thanks for stopping by, come again,

best,
carol
