Moving Monster-Revised

I decided to redo my moving monster piece, you can find the first attempt here. Thanks to all the feedback here and over on flickr, I was able to see what was missing. Here's what I came up with now:

Here was the "before":
Now that I look at it, The "before" looks more like a sketch. I'm glad I was willing to push it a little further, thanks to all the encouragement. I feel alot better. Whew! :-)

Ha ha! That's great, Jannie! That's gotta be you hanging on to to the monster's tail, eh?!

EXCELLENT!

The revised version is MUCH better! The monster is much more animated and I love the giant step he is taking! The police are a great addition too!

wWOWw!!! That is SoOoOoOo Go0OD! I love all that detail. Love the little police cars. The woman dangling off the tail. The little specks under the sod where the house sits and the bended tree. I also love how you did the bakground with the various colors of teal! YAY!!!

Love it! The police cars certainly underscore the point that it's a crime that you're so far away!

I really loved the first one AND then I saw the revision. Oh my, it is so cute. My favorite part of it is the bottom of the grass patch and your husband comanding the monster to move forward. Your textures in the background are really great too. LOVE it!

Hope you are enjoying Ann Arbor!

I didn't think it needed much improvemention until I saw the new version. It is so much more dynamic and narrative. I love all of the little details and colors! Awesome job!!!

Wow - much more dynamic! It really does make your first one look like a "rough" draft! It's quite inspiring that you followed this up.

it's totally adorable, and I like the portrait format, I feel like it makes the monster even more monstery and bigger.

Sadly, I haven't watched any new anime. I did watch the first episode of Spice & Wolf which looks interesting. Any good ones you recommend?

The new illustration is definitely more friendlier and fun! Adding yourself and your husband to the mix gives more insight about your feelings about the move. Good job!
